About the program:
Say to the caller:
"We have a roommate referral service. It is a listing of those
individuals looking for a place to live and those who have a place to
live all over the greater Washington area. There is a charge of $10
to be on the list for 4 weeks. During the 4 weeks you can request
additional copies of the list. We do not automatically mail the
follow up lists to you. The list is updated on a daily basis.
To relist for the second four weeks costs $7. We can either fax or
mail you the application. Are you interested?
(DON'T READ THIS OUT LOUD)
1. Take name, address, work phone and home phone on green sheet or
caller screen. If faxing take fax number and regular number where
fax is.
2. Fax letter and application. White copies of these forms are on
bulletin board in faxing envelope.
3. If person faxes back application and says that they are mailing
in money, you can go ahead and fax them the list that is in
housing folder on the bulletin board, the green code list and the
2nd letter.
WALK-INS
1. Give explanation. Let them fill in application. Take money or
check for $10.
2. Give them the list, green code list and 2nd letter. Copies of
code list and 2nd letter are in the top drawer, black filing
cabinet in a folder with a yellow tab that says HOUSING
3. Make sure to always leave a housing list on bulletin board (so
you may have to make a copy)
4. Put application and money next to computer for data entry.
